Temple information

This temple is named Baengnyeonsa (White Lotus Temple) because it offers views of Yongmunsan and Myeongjisan, and is surrounded by several mountains such as Daegeumsan, Unaksan, Cheonmasan, Chuknyeongsan, and Seorisan, which encircle it like a lotus flower. Although it does not boast a long history of establishment, it is renowned as a popular Templestay destination. The entrance to Baengnyeonsa Temple is nestled deep within a natural forest abundant with nut pine trees, and the sunlight filtering through the trees is exceptionally beautiful. The main halls representing this temple include the Daeungjeon (Main Buddha Hall) in the center, Samseonggak (Hall of Three Sages) to the right of Daeungjeon, Uhwajeong to the left, and Gobuldang (Hall of Ancient Buddhas) and Sumibotap (Sumi Pagoda) directly in front.
