Gaesim Temple開心寺

The road to Gaesimsa Temple leads to Gaesimsa, one of Chungnam's four great temples, boasting a 1,300-year history. In spring, you can see a beautiful cherry blossom road stretching from around Shinchang Reservoir to Gaesimsa, and it is also known as a cherry blossom hotspot. You can see various cherry blossoms such as double-flowered cherry blossoms and green cherry blossoms. To the south of Shinchang Reservoir, there are hills made up of pastures where you can see cows grazing among wild flowers. To get to Gaesimsa Temple, turn onto Gaesimsaro from Local Road 647. For expressways, Seosan IC and Haemi IC on the Seohaean Expressway are close by. Nearby tourist attractions other than Gaesimsa Temple include Haemieupseong Fortress, Gayasan Mountain, and more.
