Gwaneumsa and Gukhyeongsa Valley is located in Haenggu-dong, Wonju-si, Gangwon-do, and is a mountain valley adjacent to Chiaksan National Park. This valley, flowing next to Gukhyeongsa Temple, a thousand-year-old temple founded during the reign of King Gyeongsun, boasts an excellent landscape where its clear valley water harmonizes with the surrounding dense forest. Visitors can admire the valley water flowing down from above, forming small waterfalls and winding its way downwards, and in summer, it's also a good place to set up a small tent and enjoy a cool summer. However, it should be noted that the currents are strong and the terrain is not wide and flat, making it unsuitable for children's water play. It is said that there were once as many as 76 large and small temples on Chiaksan Mountain, but now, temples such as Yeongwonsa, Bomunsa, Gukhyeongsa, and Gwaneumsa remain, preserving the legacy of Buddhist culture. Among them, Gukhyeongsa Temple is located where Chiaksan Dulle-gil Trails Course 1 and Course 11 meet, drawing visitors who stroll along the trail following the valley.
