Seonggongsa Temple is located on Gobulsan Mountain, and its construction was initiated in 1982 by Abbot Gwanmuk. Named after a valley where many saints are said to reside, its outstanding scenery attracts many visitors not only for personal prayers but also for tourism. Following the construction of Daeungjeon, Jonggak, Samseonggak, Myeongbujeon, Nahanjeon, Cheonbuljeon, Jijangjeon, Myeongbujeon, Wabuljeon, and Yaksajeon, Gwaneumjeon was built in 2006, completing the temple's current appearance. In the center of Cheonbuljeon, there is an 18-meter-tall seated Buddha, which is the largest seated Buddha in Korea. Around the seated Buddha are statues of Sakyamuni Buddha's ten great disciples, and behind them, the Diamond Sutra engraved on copper plates is displayed like a folding screen. Additionally, there are giant Buddha statues over 10 meters tall, including Bhaisajyaguru Buddha, Maitreya Buddha, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Buddha, a Reclining Buddha, and Amitabha Buddha. Most of these are outdoors without a specific hall, presenting a unique structure different from typical temple layouts. Serving as a "Vow Buddha" where individuals make their pledges, the Cheonbuljeon enshrines 333,333 statues of Yagwang-yeorae, embodying the characteristics of a repentance prayer sanctuary.
